Scenario A: Falling Stars
The sky has recently taken on a constant darkness above, though strangely enough, light persists for things that are observing from the ground. Thinking about it for too long is asking for a logic headache, so it’s probably best to just take it in stride and enjoy the view. The vibrantly colored auroras slowly dancing through the sky are quite the beautiful sight, with the glow of the strange objects moving with them resonating like stars. That one looks like it’s shooting across the sky - maybe if you make a wish, it’ll come true!
...Come to think of it, it looks like it’s getting closer, and fast. Maybe you should duck, or at least warn the person nearby that’s blissfully unaware of what’s incoming. The stars may only be as big and heavy as a volleyball, but they can still make quite the impact when they're falling fast enough.
Once the danger has passed, you'll have a miniature star all to yourself. It's hot, but you can touch it. Maybe you could think of something fun to do with it. Anyone up for a game of hot potato?
Scenario B: Let It Snow
The world is still trying to get the hang of weather, and snow is its latest venture. The snow itself is the part it seems to understand the best: snow is cold, snow can be compacted into shapes, snow falls from the sky in flakes, snow melts into water, water can also make ice, ice is hard and slippery...
What it doesn't seem to understand yet is how snow should collect - that is to say, not instantaneously. After only a few seconds of gently descending snowflakes, any area can suddenly be covered in a thick blanket of white as if it had been snowing for hours. If you happen to be sitting down you might find yourself buried under a snowdrift, or frozen to the ground if you're standing in water. The results can be even more disastrous if you're in water when the weather shifts - fortunately, breathing seems to be optional, so at least you won't drown if you decided to take a dip in the lake.
When the snowfall ends, the snow and ice vanish as suddenly as they had appeared. It may be awhile before that happens, though, so if you're caught in a tricky situation you may want to call for help.
Scenario C: A Tall Order
The Kichijoji Aerial District is mostly empty storefronts right now, but the large size of the rooms compared to the Merlaut Apartments has made them appealing as a place to call home. All they need is furnishing and cleaning and a big studio apartment could be yours. How hard could that be?
Well, the local wildlife has also taken a liking to the abandoned stores, and some of them can be trickier to evict than others. How did a winged giraffe get itself stuck here in the first place? How does it keep getting back in every time your back is turned? It's hard to say, but you'll need to figure something out if you don't want to start all over again with a new apartment. That, or you'll need to accept that your new roommate is a bit messy and likes to chew on your clothes.
Scenario D: Into The Unknown
At the edge of the known world is an infinite white expanse - the void, as people have come to call it. There doesn't seem to be much out there, so few have bothered to explore it further than the edges. What else could there be in a plane defined by its lack of substance, life and color?
Lately, however, something seems different about it. Far, far away, barely a glint in the endless sea of white... is something glowing out there, or is it just your imagination? Something about it calls to you, and you feel compelled to try to reach it. Yet no matter how far you walk it never seems to get close enough to see clearly, always just a distant flicker taunting you in the distance.
Before you know it, you're so far into the void you can barely see the silhouette of Mount Silver behind you. Do you keep trying, or is it time to turn back? Or are you the one chasing after someone else, hoping to stop them before they wander too far?

Rudy Roughnight | Wild ARMs Alter Code: F
[ Rudy had seen his fair share of stars and skies, but this particular sky was something else. Something else, and also not Filgaia's sky. He could tell that much, and that alone was a little concerning. The star that was coming straight for him also did not help! Honestly, his first thought upon seeing the incoming star was that it was some kind of attack from a monster he'd failed to notice, so the star that ended up being lodged in the ground was infinitely preferable. Though that also meant he'd brandished his ARM for no reason. Hopefully no one saw that. Ahem.
Slowly, carefully he approached the star; he was understandably wary after seeing much worse things suddenly descend from the sky. It was a bit too big to just cart around along with him, but it was pretty neat otherwise, so it seemed a waste to leave it behind. Maybe he could chip off a smaller piece? A Dream Chaser was always prepared, so he produced a tool from his pack and got to work. Cecilia and Jane might like pieces of it too. ]
2. ordinary day...?
[ Snow was even more of a novelty, really. Arctica was the only region that actually saw any snow, and the area was much too dangerous to actually...well, play in it. However, Rudy was pretty sure snow didn't fall so quickly that it could bury him without him realizing. ]
Wha--! C-cold...!
[ He wasn't used to these kinds of temperatures! Someone please help unbury him before he becomes a living snowman! ]
3. alone in the world
[ It was really a given that Rudy would explore the void. Not only because it was so unfamiliar, but because he was still holding out hope that Jack and Cecilia were around here somewhere.
Wasn't it possible that faint glitter in the distance was one or both of them? Were they hurt? Maybe it wasn't so much a nondescript glimmer but a signal for help! As those worries kept on piling up in his head, his pace sped up from an evenly paced walk to a all-out sprint, and the fact that the glimmer appeared to be getting no closer was immaterial.
It had to be one of them out there. It had to be. ]
3
He'd been investigating the mirage too but was growing leery of it. In fact he had been using some of the more common duel monsters cards essentially as bread crumbs. He'd run into one of these during his wanderings and was kneeling down to inspect it.
Hourglass of Life was lying beside him.]
Just as I thought. I'm not getting anywhere, somehow I must have gotten turned around...

But, if you're going to try? Better you than me.
[This little ray of sunshine was leaning against a tree as she looked on with the star where it lay. She had a somewhat blase look on her face, mostly because she was starting to get used to the whole falling star crap. Slowly.]

Katarina Claes | My Next Life as a Villainess
[A figure in a dress befitting a noblewoman's station was flopped carelessly on a patch of luxurious looking grass. Her eyes were currently closed, her breaths heavy, if her mother could see her now then her pleasant slumber would be abruptly interrupted and reprimands would follow. She was supposed to carry herself as a lady but some remnants of her former life would never leave her.
Eyelids fluttering briefly, she opened her eyes and she gazed up at the darkened sky with it's colorful array of waxing hues.]
Wai~ I've never seen the sky looking like this before?
[Clearly it had to be nighttime and once that thought settled in she sat up abruptly in a panic]
Ehhhh?!?!?!? Just how long have I been sleeping?!
[She slapped her gloved hands to her face hard enough for her cheeks to turn pink. The color soon faded but the terror in her eyes didn't]
If they notice I'm missing.. I'm going to really get it!
[Drawing herself up, she raised her skirts and started to race for the mansion, only to realize that she didn't recognize any of the terrain. That prompted another gasp as she reduced her pace to a halt.]
Where am I? [Blinking a couple of times she looked skyward again, once more overtaken by the sheer beauty of it. The sight seemed to calm her, as she decided that she wasn't in any immediate danger so she could afford to appreciate the scenery a little longer. That was when her eyes lit up seeing the stars darting around.] They're so magical... [She did consider wishing on one, but when she noticed one of them seemed to be aimed right at her she squawked and started to run in frantic circles to evade it. As it drew nearer and nearer she should have made a concentrated effort to run in a straight line.. but ... didn't. Ever accident prone Katarina Claes was struck in the head and bowled over back onto the grass. Thankfully, the star was much smaller than it originally appeared, having bounced off a few feet from her]
II. Panicking and Talking to herself [Takoba Beach]
"I don't remember any of this from Fortune Lover." Said while pacing back and forth over the appliance strewn beach. She stopped at one point just long enough to hike up one leg and rest her foot against what looked like a washing machine. ".. and none of these things belong in the setting." Then she retrieved her appendage and began pacing again.
"So what does any of this mean?!" Digging her fingers into her hair along her scalp. "Is this some kind of new doom flag?!" Though she wasn't sure how it could be. None of the conquerable characters were present, nor was the protagonist. Then something dawned on her. Dropping her hands to her side she let out a sharp cry.
"Could it be?! I've already been exiled?!?!?!" Her voice reaching into the upper decibel levels. Casting her gaze out over the sea, she could feel tears starting to prickle at the corner of her eyes. Then she sighed and tried to give herself a pep talk. "If I was exiled, then it wasn't the worst ending. I can... deal with this. I prepared for this eventuality. I'll just need to find some tools, and some seeds and I'll start my own farm and live off the land.. and.. never see my friends or family again." Then she sank down to her knees, and grew silent.

Aqua | Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o
OH COME ON!
[Being whisked like a ragdoll to other worlds and being their personal chew toy is one thing, but being sent to a world that ISN'T EVEN FINSHED YET, is another. This thing can barely even be considered an actual work in its current state. Why couldn't she be sent back to her personal nothingness void? The one where she gleefully sent mortals across the multiverse without a care in the world? Why even bother she's just lay down and sob to herself, what are the chances anyone is gonna hear it anyway
2. {Since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow let it now}
[Haha! Nice try universe, but water is her thing! And though Aqua might not always have the best plans...or any plans most of the time, she knows how to deal with her own element and being the the goddess of water she can make her own, instead of being cold, she's building an igloo]
See?! I can be resourceful! Take that you stupid-
[And then in an instant the weather has changed drastically as the snow melts around her and the igloo she worked so hard on breaks apart, as gargled screaming can heard beneath the surface]
1
If she was feeling this bad missing her precious "master" it was clear this girl was missing something too whether it be her home, her friends, or something above all that. Tohru stopped beside the goddess and asked something with a light air of concern in her voice.]
You don't belong here either do you?
2
Poor thing. Arashi'll head over and leaaan over the ruined igloo... OH dear, dear, dear. )
You alright, sweetheart?
rina tennoji | love live! nijigasaki high school idol club
[ it's more than a little worrying that she's found herself in a strange new world with no explanation, but as worried as Rina is, she looks as outwardly calm as ever as she explores some of the areas that look more familiar to her. she's been to Kichijoji once or twice back home, but the district sure didn't have such tall buildings... or giraffes with wings, for that matter. it was pretty intimidating to be approached by one, but from the way it licked her head with its large, flat tongue, she could only assume that it was hungry. an animal is an animal regardless of how tall and scary they might be, and after some minimal conversation, she's leading it towards the Heavenly Blanc.
the juxtaposition of a 4'11" girl walking with a 16-foot tall creature is strange enough, but she doesn't seem too perturbed by it as she peeks through the cafe's double doors. ]
Sorry for the intrusion. [ a beat. ] Do you have any food here? I think he's hungry.
[ "he" being the winged giraffe, whose head is also peeking through the door by way of its impossibly long neck. it sure smells like food in here. ]
B. voidbound
[ more exploring has brought Rina to the blankness of the void, with its expanding... nothingness. it's both interesting and a little scary, like clipping out of bounds in an open-world game. while she'd normally be hesitant in going any further, that glimmer in the distance catches her eye, and without thinking, she begins to follow... and follow... until she looks behind her, and that towering mountain is just a shadow. ]
Oh... I got pretty far away.
[ she doesn't look particularly worried at this development, and that doesn't change once she sees that someone else has wondered out here with her. she stares blankly for a moment before reaching into her bag, pulling out a notebook with a drawn-on expression of worry with a single tear, covering her face with it. now she looks properly emotive! ]
Were you following that glittering thing, too? I got really into chasing it...
C. wildcard ( ley line )
This is amazing... This is really amazing! I can convey my thoughts to everyone so easily now!
[ and to think, communicating was so difficult for her before! sure, she still wants to work on her in-person conversation skills, but practicing with this new tool will surely help her build confidence. when no one can see her trouble with showing expression, there's no way they can misunderstand her! ]
...But now I don't know what to say.
B
[Not the only one stumbling around the open void, the mumbling, green-haired girl Rina comes across jumps as she speaks up and whirls around, only to be met with.... a doodle on a notebook...?]
[Ranka blinks at the sight for a second before tilting her head unsurely, but thoughtfully. At least there was someone else out here....] 'Glittering thing'? So you weren't following Ai-kun, then...
[For a moment, she deflates in a sigh.]

yeah, the one thing telepathy has going for it is like, it's totally hands-off. )
Don't you mean "think"? ( she's only teasing. ) It is pretty useful though... Like, even better than just putting people on speaker, right? Ooh, as long as you don't let your thoughts get away from you, anyway. Tons of people had problems with that when this all started happening.

Well, some people still have that problem, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it eventually. Maybe.

[Tohru had been wandering the void for some time now, yelling the name "Kobayashi" over and over in the vain hope that the person in question might answer her. However, as no one could possibly answer her, the dragon maid eventually stops and sits with her massive tail wrapped around her like a pillow. Though she doesn't look like she might cry, the look on her face is beyond lonely to the point she might as well be.]
[Dragon]
[So it looked like finding Kobyashi, or anyone else she knew for that matter, wasn't around Tohru instead attempted to explore more of this place. Doing so meant showing her true self and turn into a mighty green dragon! The maid popped her wings out, readied her tail, and then threw her arms to the sky. Then she simply stood there awkwardly for nearly a minute. Nothing happened. She was still in her human form. But why? She didn't know and tried the same thing again and again...]
Dragon!
[Said the man suddenly before her in his audacious white coat and all. His outfit ironically was based on a specific dragon, but that might not be apparent since he refrained from adding anything as overt as the wings and tail she was sporting. So, he was thinking she might be a cosplayer...]

Brietta Sullivan | OC | Ota | Will alter to suite prose or action
"Is... this another realm?" A petite girl questioned as she looked wistfully skyward into the rotating kaleidoscope of colors. She was dressed formally in a short frilly dress, and her accessories included a beaded hat with an asymmetrical short veil, a pair of boots, and a velvet bag hanging from her belt, her long purple tresses were lightly being brushed by the wind. Her overall appearance was doll-like, and that is just how she liked it fully prescribing to the notion that clothes make the person. Despite her short stature she was still in her late teens.
"I shouldn't be here," The girl mused, thinking back to the campus she was meant to be on. It was about this time when she noticed the star dropping from the sky and aiming for her. Eyes widening, she briefly panicked before reaching for her bag.
Keeping a firm hold on it, she thrust the opening forward encouraging the contents to fly free of the container. One flat stone emerged landing on the ground before her. There was a symbol etched into the surface, but more disconcertingly, nothing happened.
"I don't-" There wasn't time to make the observation outloud. Emitting a gasp, she braced herself for the impact to come.
(B. Let it Snow)
"Uh.... I know.. this is....... it looks a little..." Brietta fumbled over her words, in part because she was shivering but mostly from the utter embarrassment. Her boots were affixed in place as she had been wading through the edge of a body of water and the snow had reached up to about knee height and didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
"Stupid.. but.... help?"
Let it Snow

Makoto Niijima | Persona 5: Royal
[There really isn't much time to react. Her first instinct is to summon her persona, but nuking the star could backfire between debris and anyone else that might be caught up in the blast. So tuck and roll it is! It's less elegant than she cares to admit. The Metaverse allowed a great deal of acrobatics and grace, but here, she's more falling flat on her back with a SPLAT!
The star falls nearby. So with a quick brush of her clothes and an attempt to appear casual, despite her inelegance, she's back on her feet.
No one saw that right? Right?]
II. A Tall Order
[It's a bit like Joker's loft...I mean, not as nice or spacious, but it's comfortable. She can't expect something like what Sis had for them. Reason dictated that she needed somewhere to stay and this place seemed to suit, so why not find some upside and familiarity to it? It would need cleaning and management, but that shouldn't be too hard for the Student Council President?
Well...expect for the new roommate apparently. She doesn't even know where to begin with a winged giraffe. (It's like something out of a fever dream). She can only look at it in exasperation by the fifth or sixth time its return to the apartment.]

Kenjirou Shirabu | Haikyuu!!
[Confusion and uncertainty rarely bring out the best in anyone, but they turn Shirabu into a frustrated, temperamental time bomb - and he can be hard to take on his best days. This is the most infuriating case of brain fog he's ever had in his life, and worse than the constant disorientation is the overwhelming sense that he's missing something more important somewhere else. It's all got him buzzing with anxiety, tightly wound and ready to snap.
He heaves a sigh to try and steady himself, shoulders his school bag, and takes a confident step forward -
- right into an enormous snowbank that was nothing but clear sidewalk in front of him moments before. Is he really that distracted?! He slips and falls face-first with an audible foof of powdery snow that shifts to accommodate him, then rushes in to fill the space around him. It's like drowning in cold, soggy quicksand and probably looks absolutely hilarious to any bystanders.]
Urgh - agh! Hey! Mrph - [Either he doesn't realize that he's fallen forward rather than down or he's finally blown his top. Either way, all that twisting and flailing won't free him from the mound of snow any time soon. Anyone want to lend a hand?]
2 - Never send a setter to do a libero's job.
[Elsewhere, in warmer but decidedly weirder climes, Shirabu's temporarily been struck dumb by the terrifying beauty of the sky over his head. The ever-shifting colours paint streaks of light in his pale hair and across his skin, and despite how alien the sight may be, he finds himself at peace for a brief and unexpected moment.
Whatever's happening here, it's nothing he can be asked to take in stride. It's far too much for anyone to take in stride. There's a strange comfort in that knowledge.
When one of the curls of light coalesces into what looks to be a star, then maybe an asteroid, and finally a projectile headed straight toward some nearby stranger with their back turned, Shirabu doesn't even pause to think because what good would it do? He doesn't understand anything here. But he does understand flying projectiles of about that size, so he lets muscle memory take over and dives into its path to knock it away from the stranger who still hasn't noticed any impending doom. It's a sloppy faceplant of a diving receive but sends the bizarre ball of light spinning off on a different trajectory. Good enough.]
Haah - you need to be more careful! That could've knocked you unconscious if I hadn't been here!

Akira Kunimi | Haikyuu!! (same person as Shirabu, trying some things)
[Since all this strangeness took over his life, tickling the edges of his consciousness with the knowledge that things are wrong but keeping him from a full understanding of what or why, Kunimi's sort of been humouring the situation. Okay, he'll dodge falling stars from the oil spill sky. Why not? Okay, he'll wade through snow that flickers in and out of reality like TV snow from the 80s. That might as well be happening. Okay, he'll help shopkeepers escort animals out of their stores. Cool.
But the void is something else. The void has a malicious feel with its boat lights luring him this way and that, and even as Kunimi tells himself he needs to stop humouring and start worrying, he meets its silent, endless challenge with bullheaded determination. This shit won't get to him. Not for a second. It's all super-dumb when he thinks about it, like one of those movies that thinks it's scary when it's really just weird...]
Uh. [Damnit. Everything's gone. He can barely see where he's come from and it looks more like a memory than actual, physical reality. Cold sweat soaking the line of his spine and the back of his neck, he raises his voice:] Uh - anybody still there? What - the hell is - [Ugh, why is his voice shaking so badly? Lame.]
HEY! Can someone - h-help me - ?
[No more posturing. He's a 16-year-old kid that's just been devoured by a literal void and he's about to piss himself with fear.]

Ambertwo (Amber Fuji) | Pokemon (anime)
Having spent the entirety of her short life in the Kanto region, Ambertwo had never glimpsed an aurora before! She also only spent her first lifetime many years ago, outside, engaging with the real world, not kept alive in a lab... so she was enthralled with the beauty, colour, light, sounds, sensations and everything about being outside again all the same!
This just made it extra special!
The little girl in the fluttering, white dress watched the colours glow.
“It’s so pretty... I wish papa could see this...”
Are those shooting stars? They made her feel even more like he should see this, the way he spoke about them, but then... they got closer!! She stumbled backwards to avoid being hit by one, calling out to anyone else watching the scene (and possibly even trying to push them out of the way herself, although she isn’t strong enough to make them budge if they don’t want to!):
“Look out! Falling star!!”
C-2 - Can you help me free a winged Girafarig?
Ambertwo never much minded having a playmate that wasn’t a person! So she would adapt quite readily to her new roommate, asking for help getting it unstuck (“Excuse me, do you know how to help free a winged Girafarig from my window? It’s eating my curtains!” is something she’ll ask various people she’ll meet!), even reading a book to her winged giraffe, feeding it things tastier than curtains, and braiding its mane while it’s there!
Ambertwo was always patient.
C-3 - Skipping stones
Once her giraffe was set free, Ambertwo could be found taking it outside with her while she does things like skip stones on the lake (that is, if the stone doesn’t forget gravity and float away at some point, but that just makes it more interesting!)
Would anyone like to join in?
C-2 - Can you help me free a winged Girafarig?
[The tall brunette lamented with a groan before it the age of the asker fully dawned on him. Kaiba had a firm dislike already for pokemon and their trainers- well, primarily for their trainers but that still soured him on all related subjects. When he finally took a good look at the girl he felt a mild pang of guilt. A foreign feeling to be sure, but he did have a soft spot for kids despite how well he tried to mask it and this kid seemed to be younger than his brother.]

yugi mutou | yugioh
[Snow is... somewhat of a novelty in Domino? It's not unheard of, but more often than not the temperatures fail to dip low enough for any conventional winter weather to last more than a few days. Enough to indulge in warm drinks and warmer clothing and then forget about it once inside.
This snow is not forgettable. It is cold, and white, and has the general characteristics of what snow should be, but it also seems to fall from the sky in unrealistic droves.
Yugi is luckily not sitting when the latest crash of the fluffy white stuff hits the ground, but there is so much of it all at once and he is short enough that even standing in this is a problem. He's stuck almost up to his waist in no time before it stops, sighing in exasperation as he tries to dig himself out. This is so embarrassing! Hopefully he can get out before someone finds him stuck...]

[Of course Yugi would explore the void - not because it is expansive and unfamiliar, but because there is a small glint in the distance. It's gold, he thinks, and gold reminds him of the one person who it cannot be. Which, height notwithstanding, makes Yugi feel very small. Smaller than a boy who was once afraid of his own shadow. Smaller than a lone person in the void chasing after a glint.
But he's not alone is he? Looking over his shoulder, is at least one other, and he offers that person a sheepish smile, pausing in the fruitless chase.]
It's still so far away! I'm not even sure how long I've been walking for.

[Kaiba complained to himself as he was caught in that very same freak snowstorm. He paused only briefly to brush the snow that had been accumulating on his shoulders off. His long legs gave him a decided advantage in traipsing over the buried terrain but it still was not without difficulty. How he tired of the inconsistencies and randomized elements of the void. If he ever found a way to reprogram this system, he 100% would.
Continuing forward he noticed something peculiar that broke up the expanse of fluffy white stuff. He would know that pointy tri-colored hair style anywhere. Still, the sight of the familiar male was so unexpected that he had to do a double take. Feeling an odd mix of emotions he opted to call out to the other sounding like his usual abrasive self]
Yugi!
[Grateful for the snow, since it meant the shorter boy couldn't possibly get away, he hurriedly tried to close the gap between them. Which Yugi it was, he couldn't tell from this distance.
Not that he believed that there were two Yugis. Cough. That would be insanity](no subject)

Es | XBlaze
[ She had dodged in time, but what she had dodged, she had no clue. The girl sat up, brushing the dirt off her clothing as well as she could. It wasn't even worth summoning her weapon to defend herself, given that there was nothing around to hurt her. ]
What... was that?
[ She gets up and walks over to the thing that almost hurt her. ]
... A meteor?
Feigned Exeperience [ii]
[ Es looked up at the sky, watching snowflakes drop one by one onto the floor. As she followed them down, she stared at all the snow beneath her feet. She let the snow crunch and slide all over her shoes, taking in the experience of the weather, as if she had never been able to see it before.
She wanted to ask someone, anyone, but she found herself simply standing there. ]
This is... new.
The World Sings for You [iii]
[ She walks.
Es isn't a stranger to new. New was her entire being, being maybe a month old at best. But as she does, she finds herself at the edge-- the edge between life and color, and the white expanse of the void. She wonders what lies out there. That faint, white spark is calling out to her, asking for her to reach out and grasp it, but rationale takes over rather quickly.
It made no sense to follow it, and yet... she finds herself taking the first few steps into the void. But even so, she finds her steps hesitant. ]
I mustn't go. But... But why...? Why do I feel the need to go?
Feigned Experience
Never seen snow before, have you? You must be new here. It falls from time to time.
