Scenario A: Falling Stars
The sky has recently taken on a constant darkness above, though strangely enough, light persists for things that are observing from the ground. Thinking about it for too long is asking for a logic headache, so it’s probably best to just take it in stride and enjoy the view. The vibrantly colored auroras slowly dancing through the sky are quite the beautiful sight, with the glow of the strange objects moving with them resonating like stars. That one looks like it’s shooting across the sky - maybe if you make a wish, it’ll come true!
...Come to think of it, it looks like it’s getting closer, and fast. Maybe you should duck, or at least warn the person nearby that’s blissfully unaware of what’s incoming. The stars may only be as big and heavy as a volleyball, but they can still make quite the impact when they're falling fast enough.
Once the danger has passed, you'll have a miniature star all to yourself. It's hot, but you can touch it. Maybe you could think of something fun to do with it. Anyone up for a game of hot potato?
Scenario B: Let It Snow
The world is still trying to get the hang of weather, and snow is its latest venture. The snow itself is the part it seems to understand the best: snow is cold, snow can be compacted into shapes, snow falls from the sky in flakes, snow melts into water, water can also make ice, ice is hard and slippery...
What it doesn't seem to understand yet is how snow should collect - that is to say, not instantaneously. After only a few seconds of gently descending snowflakes, any area can suddenly be covered in a thick blanket of white as if it had been snowing for hours. If you happen to be sitting down you might find yourself buried under a snowdrift, or frozen to the ground if you're standing in water. The results can be even more disastrous if you're in water when the weather shifts - fortunately, breathing seems to be optional, so at least you won't drown if you decided to take a dip in the lake.
When the snowfall ends, the snow and ice vanish as suddenly as they had appeared. It may be awhile before that happens, though, so if you're caught in a tricky situation you may want to call for help.
Scenario C: A Tall Order
The Kichijoji Aerial District is mostly empty storefronts right now, but the large size of the rooms compared to the Merlaut Apartments has made them appealing as a place to call home. All they need is furnishing and cleaning and a big studio apartment could be yours. How hard could that be?
Well, the local wildlife has also taken a liking to the abandoned stores, and some of them can be trickier to evict than others. How did a winged giraffe get itself stuck here in the first place? How does it keep getting back in every time your back is turned? It's hard to say, but you'll need to figure something out if you don't want to start all over again with a new apartment. That, or you'll need to accept that your new roommate is a bit messy and likes to chew on your clothes.
Scenario D: Into The Unknown
At the edge of the known world is an infinite white expanse - the void, as people have come to call it. There doesn't seem to be much out there, so few have bothered to explore it further than the edges. What else could there be in a plane defined by its lack of substance, life and color?
Lately, however, something seems different about it. Far, far away, barely a glint in the endless sea of white... is something glowing out there, or is it just your imagination? Something about it calls to you, and you feel compelled to try to reach it. Yet no matter how far you walk it never seems to get close enough to see clearly, always just a distant flicker taunting you in the distance.
Before you know it, you're so far into the void you can barely see the silhouette of Mount Silver behind you. Do you keep trying, or is it time to turn back? Or are you the one chasing after someone else, hoping to stop them before they wander too far?

C-3
She comes to a stop to the lakeshore nearby, only briefly glancing at the giraffe as she starts filling a bucket with water; they're common around here, so not really worth her attention. She looks up in a double take, however, once she realizes that someone is standing beside the giraffe. Upon realizing even further that it is a child, she drops her bucket in surprise, and fumbles around in the water to pick it back up. Well, that's one way to fill a bucket....
Once she's got the bucket in her hands again, she looks around, then back to the girl.
"You all alone here, little lady?" Her voice has an odd reverb to it, like she's speaking with two voices at once... and with a noticeable 'cowboy' accent.

Poor thing!
Oh, now, she was speaking to her...!
“Uh-huh!” Amber nodded, but gave the winged giraffe a pet. “But I have a friend here too, so I’m not really alone...”
Amber tilted her head to a side. “Are you from the countryside?”
Did this place even technically have a countryside... well, maybe there’s one in this lady’s world!

At Amber's question, Indigo shakes her head. While she talks, she sets down her first bucket, and begins filling a second.
"Don't really know where I'm from. I was raised on Earth, though."
no subject
Amber petted its mane, but it didn’t exactly look like a caretaker, no!
Maybe she’d have one once settled in, but. Details.“You were? You’ve never met anyone else like you?”
She felt a bit bad for her!
“Do you want to sit with us?” Amber offered.
no subject
Again, she shakes her head in response.
"Not until I was a grown-up, anyhow." She's met other Novakid, just not until she left Earth.
Indigo takes the second filled bucket and sets it by her side, by the first.
"Jus' fer a little while. I've got work to do." Maybe someone else will come along and take over supervising for her.
no subject
Language barriers might not exist here, but did they exist for her on earth?
She looked back at the bucket. “Oops... is it really okay? What are you collecting water for, Miss...?”
no subject
And despite her lack of face and strange voice, there's some clear sadness in her about that. She didn't fit in among humans, but she doesn't fit in among her own kind either... it's lonely.
She nods to reassure the girl. What she's doing is a little time-sensitive, but not that time-sensitive -- she can stay for a while.
"It's fine, I can stick around fer a bit." As to what she's doing... "I'm runnin' a little experiment. If it turns out good, buildin' stuff around here is gonna be a lot easier."
[sorry for the looong delay, but, going through with the app this month, almost done! ^^]
Maybe Indigo had a little more in common with someone here?
“Oh, what kind of things are you building?” Amber asked, bright-eyed and curious. “Is it a house made of mud?”
Well, Amber only knew some houses were made of mud and clay... and that she could make a sandcastle with a tiny bucket or seawater or a little watering can, so she was just imagining that, but bigger!
[good to hear, I'm looking forward to it!]
As for the mud question... well, that's kind of close to what she's doing?
"Sorta! You know how clay is all soft an' moldable when it's wet, but when ya bake it it gets all hard?" That's not exactly what she's doing, but the concept of molding something soft and wet into the shape they want, then drying it so it becomes hard, is the same.
[Same here!! And thank you, you’ve helped a lot. ;3; It’s been so long since I’ve been in a ga
“Yes! Like the clay you mold into shapes? We molded clay into Pokemon for art class once, that was fun, but we just left it to dry, instead of baking it...”
<3
"Once yer done playin' here, do ya wanna help out? I can explain more about what I'm doin', and ya might even learn somethin'." Of course she's not considering asking Amber to do anything dangerous, but there a few ways she can make herself useful if she wants to. More importantly, Indigo will have an excuse to watch over her for a little while longer.
[it’s submitted! \o/ I just have to wait, now ^^]
“I think we’re all finished here, so let’s go!”
[Whoo! \o/ Here's hoping <3]
"What's yer name, little lady? I'm Indigo." She leads the way to where she's been working as she talks; it's thankfully not too far, as she knew she'd need water.
[Yes, here’s hoping! ^^]
The winged giraffe butted its head against one of the buckets, as it followed.
no subject
"Here, fella, you wanna carry this? Don't drink it, now." She offers the bucket to the giraffe, though is ready to snatch it away if it tries to drink it.
Their destination comes into view -- a metal trough (salvaged from Takoba Beach, so it's a little rusted here and there, but it still suffices for her purposes) full of a mixture of white and colorful rocks.
