Scenario A: Falling Stars
The sky has recently taken on a constant darkness above, though strangely enough, light persists for things that are observing from the ground. Thinking about it for too long is asking for a logic headache, so it’s probably best to just take it in stride and enjoy the view. The vibrantly colored auroras slowly dancing through the sky are quite the beautiful sight, with the glow of the strange objects moving with them resonating like stars. That one looks like it’s shooting across the sky - maybe if you make a wish, it’ll come true!
...Come to think of it, it looks like it’s getting closer, and fast. Maybe you should duck, or at least warn the person nearby that’s blissfully unaware of what’s incoming. The stars may only be as big and heavy as a volleyball, but they can still make quite the impact when they're falling fast enough.
Once the danger has passed, you'll have a miniature star all to yourself. It's hot, but you can touch it. Maybe you could think of something fun to do with it. Anyone up for a game of hot potato?
Scenario B: Let It Snow
The world is still trying to get the hang of weather, and snow is its latest venture. The snow itself is the part it seems to understand the best: snow is cold, snow can be compacted into shapes, snow falls from the sky in flakes, snow melts into water, water can also make ice, ice is hard and slippery...
What it doesn't seem to understand yet is how snow should collect - that is to say, not instantaneously. After only a few seconds of gently descending snowflakes, any area can suddenly be covered in a thick blanket of white as if it had been snowing for hours. If you happen to be sitting down you might find yourself buried under a snowdrift, or frozen to the ground if you're standing in water. The results can be even more disastrous if you're in water when the weather shifts - fortunately, breathing seems to be optional, so at least you won't drown if you decided to take a dip in the lake.
When the snowfall ends, the snow and ice vanish as suddenly as they had appeared. It may be awhile before that happens, though, so if you're caught in a tricky situation you may want to call for help.
Scenario C: A Tall Order
The Kichijoji Aerial District is mostly empty storefronts right now, but the large size of the rooms compared to the Merlaut Apartments has made them appealing as a place to call home. All they need is furnishing and cleaning and a big studio apartment could be yours. How hard could that be?
Well, the local wildlife has also taken a liking to the abandoned stores, and some of them can be trickier to evict than others. How did a winged giraffe get itself stuck here in the first place? How does it keep getting back in every time your back is turned? It's hard to say, but you'll need to figure something out if you don't want to start all over again with a new apartment. That, or you'll need to accept that your new roommate is a bit messy and likes to chew on your clothes.
Scenario D: Into The Unknown
At the edge of the known world is an infinite white expanse - the void, as people have come to call it. There doesn't seem to be much out there, so few have bothered to explore it further than the edges. What else could there be in a plane defined by its lack of substance, life and color?
Lately, however, something seems different about it. Far, far away, barely a glint in the endless sea of white... is something glowing out there, or is it just your imagination? Something about it calls to you, and you feel compelled to try to reach it. Yet no matter how far you walk it never seems to get close enough to see clearly, always just a distant flicker taunting you in the distance.
Before you know it, you're so far into the void you can barely see the silhouette of Mount Silver behind you. Do you keep trying, or is it time to turn back? Or are you the one chasing after someone else, hoping to stop them before they wander too far?

(And water is wet.
The fluffy mimics are losing interest, though they continue to stay nearby. Legion only glances at them briefly before returning their attention to Yugi.)
We saw you in his memory.
no subject
Yeah, that really does sound like what I know of him. You have him pegged pretty well. It's good he has a friend here.
(And Yugi is about to ask the name of said friend when they just go ahead and throw him for another loop. This is going to be a pattern, isn't it?)
That... makes sense. We've been through a lot. But in his memory? You can do that?
(This is starting to sound like it involves certain items that shouldn't be found again in his world.)
no subject
(There have been a couple times when Kaiba has managed to piss off Legion with his cruel behavior, but they've dealt with bigger shitheads.)
Negative. However, the physical laws of this world are unstable, allowing for such occurrences.
You are newly arrived?
no subject
(Yugi would normally think that he's good at taking things in stride; he's seen some Weird ThingsTM. But being brought to a new place, and being buried in snow, and meeting a robot, and finding out that maybe something with the powers similar to some of the Millennium Items is in play, and whether that's true or not there is at least something that lets people's memories be seen, this is...)
This is a lot. Can we start over? I'm Yugi Mutou. Maybe you already know that since you've... seen me in Kaiba's memory? But it's nice to meet you. I haven't seen you before, but if you get along with him then I don't see why we can't either.
(Befriending Kaiba is hard-mode. Yugi is easy-mode.)
no subject
(They know by now, that it can take time for people to adjust, to both them and to the situation.)
Greetings, Mutou-Yugi. We are Legion, relict.
(They pause, and look around, considering.)
There is a cafe. Perhaps we should relocate?
(Tea, Coffee, Booze, and no chance of random snow. They have noticed that organics often prefer to sit and to enjoy one of the aforementioned beverages when overwhelmed.)
no subject
(By giving information. But also by, you know, lifting him out a pile of snow and whatnot. It's the little things.
And also maybe there's a bit more information given just by Legion giving that introduction. That 'we' doesn't go unnoticed, but they can get to that after they're inside.)
A cafe sounds good, actually. What about your... friends? Are they okay?
(Accompanied by a pointed gaze over to Legion's furred metal accomplices.)
no subject
(At the question about the creatures, they look over, headflaps lifting as they let out a stream of chatter. They all three pause in what they're doing (mostly playing a with the remaining snow) and the two who aren't looking directly at them point their tail heads in their direction. Whatever communication is going on seems to be partially silent, as the return chatter is minimal. They look at Yugi again.)
Though allied to us, they possess only animal intelligence.
(They're pets, in other words.
After a moment, Legion reaches into their chesthole and plucks out two pokeballs, one white with a red line and the other pink with a heart, and throws them, sucking two of the creatures inside. The third comes over to stand nearby.)
It wishes to accompany us for drinks, though it will remain outside.
(They've found that at least one of the Fluffy Mimics likes coffee, even if it can't comfortably fit inside the cafe.)
no subject
Actually, they're weirdly cute now that he's not worried about them snacking on him. They could be something right out of Duel Monsters.)
The more the merrier. Though I'm going to apologize ahead of time - I have a feeling I'll be talking your ear off for as long as you'll let me. I have a lot of questions...
(Like: What just happened...)
no subject
Your apology is unnecessary. We will proceed to the designated location.
(They're gonna start walking in the general direction of the Heavenly Blanc now--location and distance are never as exact as they should be in the void.
It could take them anywhere from a few minutes to close to an hour to get to their destination.)
no subject
But Yugi faithfully keeps up with Legion while letting them lead the way, likely a step and a bit for every one of Legion's. Luckily, there is no errant snow to slow them down.
And maybe Yugi will just ask one question on the way. One that he hopes won't hurt his head as much as the information about the world has been doing.)
You keep saying 'we' - who is 'we'?
no subject
Oh Yugi. You poor thing. This will definitely hurt your head.)
There are 1,183 programs within this platform.
(They're plural! But less in the sense of multiple people sharing a body and more in the sense of multiple insects sharing a hive. Together, they form a singular personality.
Oh hey, look, signs. And is that ... a building off in the distance?)
no subject
They cannot get to that cafe soon enough.)
Like, computer programs? Are they all talking to me at once? Am I talking to all of them at once?
no subject
Effectively, yes.
(Geth aren't really sentient or sapient on their own, it's only by pooling their intelligence together that they become anything more. Decisions on what to do and how to act are made via consensus.
And well, for a few minutes, the cafe does not seem to get any closer, and then suddenly ... it's getting closer way faster than it should be at the pace they're walking? Distance is weird here.)
no subject
(Maybe he should have left these questions until they were indoors............... too late. But he is very interested in this for Obvious Reasons.)
Actually, are these questions offensive? If they're inappropriate, please stop me...
no subject
(They appear to be overwhelming him. They search their memories and database for a more comprehensible explanation.)
An ally once referred to our platform as "a container for the soul". This is accurrate: our soul is composed of many seperate pieces.
(They've actually seen their equivalent to a soul, so they know this to be true.)
We are not offended.
(Oh hey, look, they've arrived.)
no subject
I... think I get it a little more now. It all operates in the same space because all of it is you, right? Just pieces to the same soul then.
(Hopefully something like that.)
This is the place then? Oh, I might have walked by here once. Maybe? I didn't go in though.
(Sometimes it was hard to tell what he had already walked past and what he just kept seeing from far away.)
no subject
(They could, if they so wished, separate into many, but they would no longer possess consciousness. To be isolated in such a manner is a form of death.
Needless to say, they do not wish to do so.)
Acknowledged. Volunteers serve coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages.
(Their fluffy mimic friend finds a convenient place to settle outside and flops on the ground. Legion, meanwhile, opens the door and holds it for Yugi.)
