Sheesh, keep that attitude up and he's just asking to be pranked if/when Merlin gets sufficient use of his magic back!

Ha, it's less mercy and more utter indifference. It means nothing to Merlin if some punk know it all kid doesn't believe him! Which in turn is something of a proof of the truthfulness of his claim, in a roundabout way.
