July Intro & Plotting Meme Welcome to the game!
As this is our very first app cycle, everyone is new! We encourage everyone to fill out the form below to introduce themselves and their characters.

The first IC event log will be posted on July 15th, introducing the game's first round of imprints. We don't have a setting yet for anyone to play in, so please sit tight until then!

We'd also like to give a final reminder that everything on the May and June TDMs are non-canon, as the imprints used for the TDM setting will not all be carried over. You are welcome to discuss and handwave IC introductions between characters based on their TDM interactions, but any locations, creatures or special effects used exclusively for the TDM may not be remembered by characters.

About: Tell us a little about your character! What they look like, how they act, anything interesting about them - whatever you think other players should know!

Interests/About: I knit, I draw, and I talk about FF14 a lot! I am... kinda boring really, but you know. I am a bit scattered all over because I work 12 hour night shifts in a rather awkward pattern.

Character: Crystal Exarch
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV
About: He is a very mysterious and secretive and wise old mage. He is absolutely not just a cute and nerdy catboy.

... ahem. To try and give the "in brief" version... the Exarch is a time traveller from a bad future trying to save the world from disaster. He is very secretive, and very willing to lie and deceive to get his way if it means the world is saved, but is genuinely kind and pleasant. Even if he is a bit smug.

He hides his identity, so it might take a long time for any characters to know his name or see his face in full! He's not lying about being old, but he only looks in his mid-20s. He's also miqo'te, which is a race with feline features.
General Plans: I... literally just plan on throwing him in and seeing what happens.
CR Planning: See above!
Imprint Planning: I was looking at maybe species imprints, for the most part, but the concept of gods being given form by belief + magical energy sources is something to possibly work towards!

At this point I will be happy for CR from anyone and seeing how it rolls, so sure!

Yeah, that's kind of my thought too. Parsee's a very hard character to predict where things suss out other than likely 'negative' to start, given her personality. She's here to test and see what happens.

I am absolutely not familiar with your canon (I am, in fact, blind to nearly every canon commonly seen in RP) but I take it there's a little similarity there? :D

That's fair, most of what I know of FF14 is just based on knowledge of the franchise in general, haha. But yes! Merlin is, well, Merlin. He's a very powerful mage who keeps a lot of things to himself and has pretty much zero qualms about manipulating (or even sacrificing) people for the greater good of humanity's future. He's also immortal and thus actually oh, over a thousand years old, but prefers to assume the appearance of a good-looking young man. |Db

Exarch is pretty young compared to him then, since he's mentally about 125-ish and technically 325-ish after taking a 200 year nap. In his case, the permanent baby face with chubby cheeks comes from just not ageing.

Though to be fair, for as old as Merlin is, when it comes to emotional experience and maturity he's.... probably on par with a five year old. SIGH.

Hiya! No worries, I'm always canon blind to everything, and when I'm not I don't learn about the canon until super late!

He'll likely just be the pleasant grandpa in a reckless teenager's general direction, but pleasant grandpas are good to have around.
