July Intro & Plotting Meme Welcome to the game!
As this is our very first app cycle, everyone is new! We encourage everyone to fill out the form below to introduce themselves and their characters.

The first IC event log will be posted on July 15th, introducing the game's first round of imprints. We don't have a setting yet for anyone to play in, so please sit tight until then!

We'd also like to give a final reminder that everything on the May and June TDMs are non-canon, as the imprints used for the TDM setting will not all be carried over. You are welcome to discuss and handwave IC introductions between characters based on their TDM interactions, but any locations, creatures or special effects used exclusively for the TDM may not be remembered by characters.

Character: Hornet
Canon: Hollow Knight

About: Hornet is the diligent guardian of a dead kingdom, and is absolutely furious to be dragged away from her duties. She is also an anthropomorphic bug who will can and will kick your ass.

General Plans: Seeing as the world has literally nothing in it right now, there's not a lot for me to work off of to determine how things are gonna go. Hornet will likely be one of the most invested in understanding this strange new place, with the end goal of finding her way back home. Apart from that, though, I got nothing.

CR Planning: While I'm not exactly the most prolific tagger, I enjoyed the threads I did on the TDMs! If you threaded with Hornet and want to hash out future CR, go ahead!

For new CR, anything goes, really. I'd be down for some over-eager friendly type to try and get through her Stabby Exterior, but the bonds of friendship come in many forms, including not being friends and just throwing fists on sight. Whatever the case, it will unquestionably start out somewhere rocky, so be ready for that.

Imprint Planning: Again, there's not a whole lot for me to work with right now! I intend to wait and see what imprints get in before making any solid plans. I kinda plan on getting Hornet's powers back somewhat soon, but other than that there'll probably be a lot of bugs, and danger, and dangerous bugs. I plan to play it by ear!

so I absolutely love Hollow Knight and we stan one spider sister. Ahsoka isn't an over-eager sort, but she is happy to make friends with tough eggs and throwing fists for friend fights. she also has the added bonus of being from a canon where hornet's bugness won't be immediately odd to her.

heck yeah! i don't know Very Much about the star wars EU but i've made entertaining CR out of less, so! it will be a simple case of Sword Bug Doesn't Know What Space Wizard's Deal Is.

Hornet cannot kick Bowser's ass. It is protected by a spiky shell and a fearsome turtle/dragon creature who wishes to make it known that his ass will not be kicked.

What I am attempting to say is that Bowser is a perfect canditate to be a not-friend who will throw fists on sight.

Hornet wishes to know what Bowser thinks of shish kebabs, specifically of the seafood variety. She's thinking of making grilled turtle.

Bowser happens to like shish kebabs but while he would probably have a suitable quip with which to retaliate all I have to say is please do not murder the Bowser even if he technically started the fight.

Hollow Knight is a great game- I have both played some of it myself and watched while my sibling played through. If there was a particularly difficult boss, I know we traded the controller back and forth several times before we got it down. Lots of fun, and Hornet is a fascinating character.

It will be a challenge for Kaiba to accept that an anthropomorphic bug actually exists and is not some elaborate ruse or costume. Oh- and I'm X by the way. Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you! Kaiba's a real interesting character to me too, so I'm sure it'll be real interesting bouncing off of him. Even more seeing as, yeah, Hornet's a real outlier. It sure is unlikely that there'd be all these Regular People and then just... Sword Bug. I guess there's a few robots too, but considering how advanced KaibaCorp is, those sound a lot more plausible.

Maybe all the humans are fake, and Hornet is the real one. Ever considered that, Kaiba?

Sword bug- it's like Weevil Underwood's dream. Oh- he'll definitely be more accepting of robots. Kaiba corp boasts plenty of dueling robots as it is.

His response to that would be succinct and delivered without any hesitation: No.

That answer can double for both the concept and the specific answer posed. He 100% thinks he's real and won't budge on that point.

I'd argue it's more gloomy than spooky on average, but yeah! Your character looks pretty neat, so I'm sure there could be some interesting CR to be found.
