Scenario A: Bite Here, Bite Now
"Food" is still a loose concept, as anything one can take fit in their mouth and swallow is considered close enough to count. While people can differentiate between things that should and shouldn't be eaten, the wildlife does not hold such views. Though at first they seemed to prefer whatever objects people deemed edible, they’ve now begun to experiment with some interesting alternatives.
Rocks, dirt, glass, tree trunks, corners of buildings, beach trash, chair legs, books, clothing, jewellery, prized possessions, the kitchen sink - there doesn't seem to be anything an animal won't try to eat at least once, and bite marks are quickly becoming a common sight in the most bizarre of places. You may even head home and find one of the red toothless dragons hanging off of a doorknob, trying its best. If an animal can get to it and fit its mouth around it, chances are it will try to eat it.
While the creatures can be coaxed and trained off of these behaviors, it's no small feat. And along the way, they might even find something else more appetizing than what you're trying to offer them. If you lose something important, hopefully it’ll still be intact when you finally fish it back out of them.
Scenario B: Blowing Hot and Cold
Random snowstorms are still a common sight, carried by powerful winds from the peak of Mount Silver to the furthest reaches of the known world. The snow never seems to stay on the ground for long, but it brings with it a frigid chill that could drive anyone back to the relative safety of indoors. A storm can last seconds or hours - not that it's easy to tell the difference - so it can be quite troublesome if you're not prepared for it.
Recently, a new type of "weather" has emerged. Fire has many uses, and it can be made quite easily by anyone... perhaps a little too easily. Most of the time, a strong breeze will blow out a growing flame, but occasionally something different will happen: the wind itself will catch on fire, carrying those flames far and wide in the blink of an eye. Within moments any place can be turned into a raging wildfire, blindingly bright and hellishly warm.
The flames will burn themselves out eventually, leaving everything coated in soot, but unharmed. It’s a good thing that fire doesn’t actually hurt yet or everyone might be in trouble! That may not be a comfort for everyone, though, especially if you're stuck cleaning up the mess. Sometimes it might take a little too long for the fire to die down on its own, too. If the wind won't do it, water is the way to go.
Scenario C: Long Distance
Distance and sound are not mutually exclusive just yet, and they both seem to be a bit out of whack at the moment. No matter how much you walk toward another person, you can't seem to close the distance between the two of you, as if you're on some sort of invisible treadmill. When you speak, however, it sounds like whoever you're speaking to is standing right beside you. Distance doesn't seem to be an issue if you're looking to converse.
However, this means you can hear others who are even farther away just as clearly. Someone on the beach might be able to hear another muttering to him or herself as they scale Mount Silver. Like dialing a random phone number, you now have to speak to a mysterious voice to figure out who it belongs to. Hopefully you weren't just muttering a deep, dark secret.

[Leon chuckles, running his fingers along the hat's brim one more time just to make doubly sure nothing got chewed through during all of that. Everything seems to be okay though, to both the relief of Leon and Charizard, who would have had to deal with Leon being depressed about the loss for some time.]
Now- you mind explaining to me just what is going on around here? One second we're up in the Battle Tower preparing for a match, and the next? Whisked away to Arceus knows where!

[ his grin softens into something a little more genuine, taking in Leon's presence. as much as he'd love to shoot the shit with him after not seeing him for Arceus knows how long, he's certain that he has questions. ]
Now that is a long story... not that I have all of it figured out myself. [ he lets out a breath that sounds close to a sigh, shoving his hands in his pockets with a small smile. ] C'mon. Walk with me.
[ and so he begins to relay his knowledge, limited as it is - that he'd appeared in what could only be described as a white void some time ago (as for how much time has passed, he has no clue), that this world isn't their own, and that other people seemingly from entirely different planes of existence have ended up in the same situation as them - mostly people that had never even heard of Pokemon before. he also points out that everyone here seemingly had some part of their "world" brought with them, but it was changed somehow - those strange Pidgey for example, and Mt.Silver in the distance.
and in case Leon thinks he's pulling his leg somehow, it soon becomes apparent that he's leading them to the Hammerlocke ruins. he stops in front of the gate and simply stares forward; he's looking on with a neutral expression, but Leon of all people will know the sadness and frustration in his eyes. he hates looking at this. ]
See what I mean? It's all bloody mad, but none of us have any answers yet. We're all sort of just... taking it one day at a time.

The ruins are hard to see. Charizard had actually seen them first some time ago, when they got separated and he was trying to find his trainer again, but the full scope of just...how bad it was hadn't sunk in for Leon until he's seeing it here and now. He moves a touch closer to the gate, the still-unpredictable wind buffeting Leon's hair to one side.]
I reckon you've checked it out already. [He starts, a hand reaching up to hold onto the gate.] There isn't anyone out there, right?
[No one got hurt, he means. He has no idea what kind of force could do something like this to Hammerlocke, but...well, with the things he's been through, he can think of a few.]

while Leon steps forward, Raihan stays back. he'll take him through if he asks for it, but this vantage point gives a good enough idea of the damage. ]
Yeah. You can't get to the Vault at all, and the stadium's all but collapsed in on itself. [ his neck tilts up, glancing at the part of the castle that's crashed into Mt. Silver. ] It's completely deserted.
[ no one being hurt was the only silver lining he could find, really... but it also just brought up more questions. ]

I will say that I don't think this has anything to do with Eternatus, or the Darkest Day. Even if somehow we hadn't gotten there in time...the stadium wouldn't have just been collapsed.
[No...he's certain it would have been utterly obliterated. There's no possible way it could have withstood Eternatus' power to be reduced to just rubble. More like dust, maybe.]

[ he takes a deep, quite breath, exhaling with a sigh. that's enough moping around; he steps up to Leon's side. ]
Thanks. It's alright, though... No use moping about if it's already been done, yeah? [ his smile is small, but genuine. ] Besides, with everything else around here out of sorts, I have a hard time believing it's permanent.
[ it might not look exactly the way it's supposed to, but he's hopeful that Hammerlocke will find a way to rebuild. you don't get to be a city with hundreds of years of history to your name without being resilient. ]
I'll take you through, if you want. [ if it's with Leon, he won't mind... but then he gets another, much more palatable idea. ] Or... we could go get a drink.

I think we'd both fancy a drink right about now.
[He can check out Hammerlocke some other time. Right now, he wants to catch up with Raihan more.]
