Scenario A: This One Blows
With so many winged creatures starting to fill up the world, it was only a matter of time before someone asked: how does flight work? Aerodynamics is a complicated subject, but one cannot hope to fly at all in a world with no air or wind. What, then, would be the point of having wings at all if they can't be used?
All at once the sky becomes filled with air, and the winds begin to move. However, there doesn't seem to be much logic to where and how hard they blow - all the wind knows is that it does blow, and that winged creatures may use it to fly up and away. Unfortunately, the result is something of a chaotic windstorm, and with an infinite supply of snow falling from the mountaintop the world is suddenly whited out in a raging blizzard.
If you're outside when the wind strikes, you'd best grab onto something before you get blown away yourself. If you're indoors at the time you'd think that would be lucky, but the wind hasn't quite figured out where it's coming from, either... so maybe stay away from anything sharp or heavy, in case a sudden indoor tornado starts whipping things around.
Scenario B: Let There Be...?
Light is another tricky subject. Where does it come from? The sky seems like a reasonable answer, but not all places are exposed to it. What of caves and buildings? How does light get there, and what happens when it can't?
The change may come slowly or suddenly as the world itself seems to experiment with the idea. Anything with a roof over it is left in total darkness, while everything outside remains brightly lit. It's as if a bright spotlight were pointing down at the world from above - even windows won't do much to let the light in, as it can only illuminate what it touches. Reflecting light may still be too difficult of a concept for this world.
The idea of there being other light sources is also, unfortunately, a difficult subject. Nothing seems to be able to penetrate this new darkness. Navigating indoors may be difficult for awhile, especially if you're also battling a hurricane.
Scenario C: How To Train Your Dragon
Dragons are dangerous and powerful creatures, but the fluffier, feathery breed has quickly grown in popularity among the people of the new world. Many find the small dragons cute, and some have even adopted them as pets. They're only as big as a house-cat, so what's the harm?
Well, the winged dragons have noticed that people are much more forgiving around them if they play up their cuteness. They've grown more fearless around strangers, and with that they can be quite a nuisance. It's more common now to see them swooping down on people, stealing shiny things, or just getting in the way to beg for food scraps and attention. Though not actively malicious, their claws and beaks are also quite sharp if you're unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end.
Persistence is another strong trait among dragons, as evident from their fishier dragon brethren, so these bad habits might be tough to break.

Ann Takamaki | Persona 5
[ This is not the strangest thing Ann Takamaki has either witnessed or lived through. Wind isn't a big deal, usually -- neither is snow. Except, of course, when it's combined. Which is exactly what she's found herself out and about in, suddenly.
Of course she's not dressed for the sudden drop in temperature and gusts, and she finds herself having a real hard time keeping her footing. It's a good thing she's outside the Heavenly Blanc Cafe and Bar, probably, because there's at least something to grapple onto. Maybe.
She's not prepared for the sudden huge gust of wind, though, and she manages to grab onto a chair at the last minute. Unfortunately, chairs can only do so much, and the breeze is strong enough to not only topple the chair, but Ann goes flying a few feet with it. ]
No! Not again--!
[ That's right. Again. Maybe instead of trying to watch her figure, she should be trying to bulk up more... ]
[ 2 - Dragon time ]
[ Ann's a sucker for cute things, it's true. So when one of these adorable little baby dragons starts to follow her around? She can't say no. Of course, it's not really the only one -- there are others, too, but one seems to have really taken a liking to her. And in turn, she's taken to it, too.
At home, despite her parents absence and their lack of knowledge about the majority of the going-ons in her life, she doesn't have a pet. Hasn't tried to sneak any sort of animal into the house or anything of the sort. They aren't here, and therefore, she's decided that this is probably fine.
It's why she can be seen seated outside of the bar, small dragon in her lap. It purrs and pushes into her hand as she scratches underneath it's chin, and she seems ridiculously pleased. ]
Hm, you need a name. Fluffy?
[ The creature tips it's head, and Ann hums, before looking over at the first person she sees. You, yes, you! ]
Hey, do you think this little guy looks like a Fluffy or a Sparkles?
[ C - Wildcard ]
[ Got any ideas that you wanna try? Go for it! Feel free to PM me to hash out any deets if you need! ]
I AM SO HAPPY
(He's so happy he found her! Ren takes a seat next to his friend, offering the creature a hand to sniff so he can partake in the petting as well.)
Are you keeping him?
HAS REN MISSED ONE OF HIS DUMB BLONDE FRIENDS?
[ Sounds dumb, actually, but it's cute and in the big scheme of things, isn't that all that matters? She flashes Ren a bright smile as he takes a seat, happy to see him as well, and her little dragon friend leans out to sniff at his hand, before purring and pushing his head into Ren's palm. Pets, please, good sir. ]
I really want to... he's really cute, and I've never had a pet before. Well, not one quite this... exotic.
PROFUSELY
What Sparkles doesn't know won't hurt him, right? Ren hasn't played with the creatures very much, aside from the Pokémon people brought along, so he's very enchanted with the little dragon... bird-cat?)
I wonder what it eats.
I WISH APPS OPENED UP THIS ROUND.... ALAS
Exactly. Sparkles is happy to purr and crawl out of Ann's lap and into Ren's instead, as a matter of fact, which now gives Ann the ability to sit back and cross her left leg over her right. ]
No idea... I'm assuming meat, probably. I wonder if it has to be cooked, though?
[ Probably not. They probably don't... cook their own food in the wild. But dragons breathe fire, don't they? So maybe they do. Actually... ]
All I know, is that he's super cute. And he seems pretty well behaved, too!
REACHES I WILL BE WAITING FOR U
It's with a laugh that Ren lets her mind wander, both hands scratching behind Sparkle's ears.)
I'm sure you'll take good care of him!
(Also, are they sure it's a he...)

1, akechi would not be excited but I DEFINITELY AM also how are u on royal spoilers.... 👀
[Akechi, at least, has gotten used to bracing himself against the hurricane force winds, though he snarls a little with the extra effort of having to keep a second person upright against him. At least he was able to get a grip on the door frame before she slammed bodily into him. His other hand grips tightly at her upper arm to keep her from flying away until the wind finally dies down enough for him to release her.
At least it being Ann means he doesn't have to bother apologizing for the reflexive snarl. He just lets go as soon as it's safe to do so and steps back.]
Next time, try grabbing onto something sturdier, will you?
hueHUEHUE!! I AM GOOD ON SPOILERS i actually just started royal today :>
Certainly, the feeling is mutual. ]
Sorry, sorry! I didn't mean to... is this normal for this place?
nice nice nice nice!!
[In deference to the wind, Akechi's pulled his hair back into a small ponytail -- both form and function, to ensure that he didn't look like some certain attic trash, and to keep it from blowing into his eyes.
He crosses his arms, brings his left hand to his lips as he studies her face and continues,] Without being able to accurately measure the passage of time, it's difficult to say exactly how long ago it started. It's made exploration quite difficult; the snow creates blizzard white-out conditions quickly enough to be quite dangerous.
IT MAY TAKE ME TEN MILLION YEARS TO GET THROUGH BUT it's happening fam
I'd imagine it would make things extremely difficult, yeah. [ Difficult, frustrating, and b o r i n g. To an extent, at least. Not that she'll be mentioning that. ] What a strange thing to happen. I don't think I've ever had the displeasure of seeing anything quite like that before.
[ Or being caught up in it, for that matter. It's something she'd not like to make a habit out of. ] Please tell me that's the only strange weather phenomenon here...
THE NEW CONTENT IS WORTH THE SLOG
[That's a lie, and not even a good one. Like it or not, in a situation as unknown as this, he has to be able to rely on the Thieves once again. How aggravating.]
So far, it's the only weather event. If we can manage to predict when the wind will gust, perhaps then we could make some progress, but for now...
[They're at the literal mercy of the wind. Ask him how much it s u c k s, frustration audible in his voice.]

The winds were capable of lifting a person when so desired, it was a wonder that the buildings managed to remain firmly rooted in place.
Once the wind died, down Kaiba moved back to the stool he had been occupying, he eyed the turned over coffee cup on the floor like it had betrayed him in some fashion, sparing it a kick.]
i just want you to know that i am ridiculously happy that you tagged me, i love kaiba
Well, he's at least made sure she wasn't going to get dragged out into that mess and sky high, so, she's grateful for that. Once the door is properly secured, and things have calmed, she manages to stagger and steady herself once more, immediately reaching up to try to fix her wind tussled tresses.
Breathing a sigh of relief, she turns to look at the tall man, who... is currently. Staring down at his downed cup. ]
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.
I hope I do him justice then, I was glad to see an Ann!
Don't mention it. [A brief pause followed] Really. [Although he wasn't above occasionally helping others he didn't want that becoming common knowledge. Besides, he could always argue that he'd sealed the door for his own benefit, not hers- although that gale had caused his jacket to flare out in that dramatic fashion that it was designed for.]
[He leaned down to scoop up the cup, before going to wash it off in the sink. Following that he refrained from filling it back up. The lack of electricity meant the coffee had been lukewarm, and it wasn't as palatable at that temperature. It wasn't as if he needed it anyway, not here where sleep and sustenance weren't necessary]
I'd just told a friend that if I got in, I was looking forward to CR with Kaiba!! <3
Right. [ She glances off to the side for a moment, before looking back at him as he cleans up the cup and mess that came with it. ]
So, do you come here often? [ Maybe he knows Ren. She hopes he does -- Ren's a good person to know, after all. And he also seems to be able to take the chill off of particularly cold people, he's just good like that. ]
I'd certainly like that, so I hope you get in! Kaiba will have to deal with more peopling!
[
LBR, Akechi is most likely the more homicidal of the two][Oh-goody. This was swiftly unraveling into small talk.] Unfortunately. [Answering coolly, he placed the cup away, before turning back to face her again] It's not as if there's anywhere else to go... [Does he honestly look like someone who enjoys camping?]
[Since there was no avoiding it by this point he offered up a contribution to the conversation of his own while trying to refrain from the standard and obvious "are you new?"] Look- I'll keep this brief. Unless you know how to get out of here or you have knowledge about whose behind this, there's nothing for us to discuss. [Unfortunately, his negative attitude hadn't lessened with time. He had somewhere else he needed to be- yesterday.]
Poor Kaiba, at least Ann's not quite as peppy as #shiningfriendship LMAO
That certainly is a plus! He can't take those friendship speeches.
To be fair, I don't really know how ANYONE could stand them.
Kaiba feels so vindicated right now.
His time has come!!
He'd say it's long overdue!
A win that has nothing to do with card games!
Now that just sounds insulting 8|. He's going to beat Yugi, ok. Eventually.
He can do it. If he believes in the heart of the cards......
We can no longer be friends 8/. (j/k)
SORRY THAT'S NOT IN THE CARDS... EITHER
He still hasn't forgiven Yugi for having the audacity to lose to someone else.
It's really all Atem's fault, if you think about it
Oh gawd. You believe those Egyptian fairy tales? (It totally was Atem's fault. No doubt)
how can they be fairy tales when the hieroglyphics say otherwise?! (everything is his fault tbh)
Kaiba's putting his money on modern science. (That pharaonic troublemaker)
SHUN THE NON BELIEVER! (and the pharoah screw the rules)
Things were going so well, we were denouncing friendship speeches, then this happened.
s h u n
Let's see if I remember what I wrote. Also, sorry! I thought it sent the first time.

Before she can go too far, he rushes forward to catch her, releasing the grip on his cap — causing it to fly off his head, his small loyal friend to reach a paw up to catch it, which in turn causes him to be blown off his Trainer's shoulder and along with the wind's current.]
Pikaaaaa!
[Red whips an arm out towards Pikachu, successfully catching him by his other paw while Ann slams against him. Fortunately, he's a very sturdy guy and only stumbles back a few steps, holding onto Pikachu for dear life while he wraps his free arm around Ann's shoulders to keep her in place.
The moment the wind dies down, he releases his grip on the younger girl without missing a beat and reels his poor Pikachu in.]
Um... sorry... [A mumbled, sheepish apology for the messy rescue. And for holding onto Ann like that without warning.]
no subject
She's totally prepared for getting slammed into the ground, or into something else, but her savior comes in the form of a very sweet young man who takes the time to sacrifice his own hat to ensure her safety. He's got some kind of adorable little animal with him, and she gasps as the poor little thing gets blown off. Fortunately, he manages to grab his little friend as well. All's well that ends well!
She has to blink a few times, once the wind calms again, and it's the first time that she actually gets a really good look at him. He's cute. ]
You don't need to apologize, I do. It was my bad... thank you very much for the catch! I'm so sorry you had to endure that, though. [ Because that... couldn't have been easy. Catching her and the cute little yellow thing. ]
no subject
It's fine.
[He's endured far worse during his decade as a Pokémon Trainer. So has Pikachu! The resilient little Pokémon puts Red's cap back in its rightful spot on his Trainer's head and regards Ann with a bright expression like nothing ever happened.]
Pika pi~ka! [Everything's totally fine!!]
no subject
[ Ann gestures with her hands, wind and a mess and... well. He probably gets it, considering that he just lived it with her. Poor thing. ]
Even still, I'm so sorry. Thank you very much for your help.
[ She'll have to figure out a way to pay him back, at some point. His little yellow friend is adorably distracting, though, and Ann flashes both of them a small, albeit bright smile. ]
Wow, he's really cute! And totally helpful, too. What's his name?
[ It suddenly hits her, though, how bad she's being. These two just saved her from a multitude of bruises and pain, and she hasn't even introduced herself. ]
Oh! I'm sorry, I'm being rude. My name is Ann Takamaki, and it's very nice to meet you both!
no subject
Red is completely unfazed by Ann's supposed rudeness; he thinks she's the one with better manners here. He just quietly listens to her words and then bows his head politely at her introduction, Pikachu following suit.]
I'm Red. This is Pikachu.

2: I just...wanted to tag Ann
[ Katsuki crosses his arms even as he eyes the dragon. He definitely has different naming sensibilities... ]
What about Bloodslash?
[ Like, edgy teenage boy ones. ]
gasps softly
[ Also, Sparkles and Fluffy are hilarious names for dragons, okay. Ann stares blankly at Katsuki, before staring back at the little dragon in her lap. ]
...He doesn't really look like a Bloodslash. He's too innocent for that. He looks more like a Sprinkles.
no subject
[ Katsuki, what did you actually expect...the dragons are fluffy and Ann looks like she definitely does not share his taste in names. Which honestly is for the better because no one should. ]
You only think he's innocent because he's not stealing something right now.
no subject
[ That last bit about not stealing things has Ann smiling wider than she probably should about such a statement. ]
...Well, he's already stolen my heart. [ HAH-- ] So, I guess he's a little thief in that regard.
