He's noticed by now that she's also chewing on coffee beans. That's not really how you're supposed to use those... but pointing that out seems kind of obvious. A better thought: if all water is alcohol and alcohol isn't even alcoholic, what do coffee beans taste like? Maybe they actually would be good for eating?
