Interests/About: Just an old nerd mostly. Anime, board games, RPGs, video gaming, Fantasy, Sci Fi, comics, politics, philosophy. Will chat about most things though I tend to keep it to RP on plurk most days.
Character: Parsee Mizuhashi
Canon: Touhou Project
About: Parsee is a Hashihime ("Bridge Princess"), a type of youkai or spirit who haunts bridges in old Japanese folklore, and was worshiped for help with breakups, divorces, separations and bridge crossings. The myth goes that she was born from a magic rite she performed in a fit of jealousy against the husband who left her for another woman, turning into a monster and spirit of jealousy.
Well, that was over a thousand years ago, and she's been sitting by a bridge in "Old Hell," behind a magical barrier because humans forgot about the spirit world around the time of the Meiji restoration. So she is quite literally the spirit equivalent of Matt Foley, Motivational Speaer.
She's a peach of a person. Real optimist.
General Plans: Right now, because the Void (which she and Legion sometimes call Proteus) has caused her powers over jealousy to be null (outside of Memetos), but has started granting a small amount of power to spirits to 'bless' others, Parse's confused. She's running a shrine, and at the suggestion of others is trying to answer prayers of protection rather than ones to help with breakups. She's trying to determine if this is changing her role within the setting because this place doesn't obey Gensokyo's rules.
She's currently adopting Tsukumogami (awakened spirits) and keeping them around so they get used and stop whining so much, and trying to figure out how the Voidworks.
She's also struggling with the fact that for some reason people want to be friends with her, which she thinks is crazy as hell.
Open Log Plans:
I'll be posting a monthly log for Jan/Feb as soon as our next imprint set goes up so I can incorporate it.
CR Planning: I have no official plans for her CR. Positive and Negative are always available. I'd say she's opening up enough to make most, if not all CR possibilities on the table, though some things (romance for example) are kind of weird, hard, long roads.
But basically anything you like go for it!
Imprint Planning: I've put in for an Imprint of a Concept related to her questions (and purification of spirits/spirits being influenced by belief of others). When it comes into play, there'll be an ongoing plot with Parsee nudging in the direction of a 'purified' youkai. Still a bridge princess, but maybe focusing on a more positive aspect associated with what she is.
That one's in queue, so it'll show up reasonably soon.
Besides that, I'm going to put in for another spirit creature: Nekomata. Two tailed Necromancy cat spirits. She brings all the fun ones!

I'm loving it too. Parsee so confused about how she feels about Rinoa. She really wants to figure it out because people don't usually let her do that.

If you're up for it, we could totally use that to force Parsee through the different stages to decide what she's holding back and just blurt it out before she gets flowered to death. Cause I'm an awful person.
(I probably have to decide what her feelings ARE too, but bah, I'll get to that eventually. You know, before she chokes on rose blossoms.)

Canon: final fantasy 7 remake
About: everyone's favorite tragic flower girl (knows too much edition). runs a flower business in game, talks up all the grumpiest people, gets into more than a few dicey situations. allergic to personal space.
General Plans: besides running the flower business with ren and keeping up with her friends (from home, and those new in game), aerith is mostly exploring the world and trying to figure out both if there's any way back home, and if their time in this place can at all work as a detriment to a certain silver-haired swordsman... beyond that, she's meeting a lot of new people and enjoying the sort-of vacation!
CR Planning: give it all to me! she'll always try to befriend the less talkative types, but obviously also loves to chat with other cheery people, to hear about their worlds and experiences, and to brainstorm new ideas for developing the world with everyone!
Imprint Planning: potentially something materia-based in the future when mana has been more established!

what am I doing.. board/card games, cartoons, chatting, many things.Character: Seto Kaiba
Canon: Yu-Gi-Oh!
About: Kaiba didn't have the best experiences or upbringing but somehow ended up being the head of a major corporation that focuses on gaming technology. Despite his prickly exterior he's actually quite intelligent but he has major issues relating to or trusting others. Also he's competitive as all hell and has to be the best.
General Plans: Kaiba's been trying to work on a way to store energy in order to be able to use electricity longer because let's face it.. most of his inventions rely heavily on the idea. He also had a month where he took out his frustrations with certain people by going through some intensive exercise regiment and training the only monsters he had access to. Also, he got a girlfriend. SOMEHOW. Not having had a major project with any success since early fall..?.. he's bound to be getting frustrated, as if he needs more reasons to be touchy. He also made a great impression at the New years party, and he is plotting a few people's downfall (not related to the party shenanigans). He's trying to spread the knowledge of Duel Monsters in hopes of it becoming apart of this world's norm and maybe get his holographic tech back online. Oh! And with Indigo's help he caught one of them Mimic things a while ago and they've been seeing about making thread from the fur.
Potential prompts down the line: Teaching people to play Duel Monsters 101, lamenting the fact that he has no word from his brother in forever, vengeance, more date things, more science things. He really needs something to work on semi-regularly because... he gets bored being too idle. I also need to figure out how to write prompts on whatever that turns out to be that aren't boring as all heck to others. /sob.
CR Planning: I keep hoping there will be something that goes down that will force his hand to forge some new cr with others or smooth over some past transgressions. Maybe the upcoming 'feels' one will help, but it depends on the conditions and how it's incorporated. I do enjoy all sorts of cr. I swear sometimes when I write out his replies I'm like 'no don't say that!'... but then I have to go... 'it is in character to do this' then I make a sad face and go 'yes it is'. So sorry for him!
Imprint Planning: I have no idea right now. I'm kind of in a wait-and-see period. Points are precious and I stress about spending them or not spending them. I thought about bringing in one of many locations from Yu-gi-oh but.. I have to wait for the best opportunity. I've got a concept in the queue currently, and I'm clueless on species so I'm just hording points atm. Also, need to remember to link potential organic ones, I'm notoriously bad at thinking anything is link worthy.

Yeah I think regardless of what Parsee's feelings ARE, hanahaki sounds like a beautiful way of making her actually say them out loud. Because even with her wanting to figure them out, based on how she is most of the time it might be difficult to make her actually say them, heh.

The set up of the game has all of the various characters picking an Urban Legend from modern Japan (shit like Men in Black, the monster from Scream who calls you before killing you, the Lock Ness Monster etc...) that she wouldn't have heard about before then. So, it's reasonable for her to have picked up the urban legend by then and be 'aware' of what Hananaki is.
If she knows 'what' it is, she'll freak out even more because she'll believe the flowers are trying to tell her that she does in fact have feelings she has to confess. Since the Hananaki thing is in February, this kind of works perfectly and we can back-burner it until the Overgrowth plot is revealed next month while she clumsily moves towards becoming a Purified Youkai.
The only concern I have is that this definitely nudges Parsee really hard towards at least convincing herself she's romantically interested in Rinoa, whether or not those feelings are reciprocated. So, I know I belabor the whole 'making sure' but do you have any thoughts, concerns, interests or preferences?

I appreciate the belaboring. ♥ I don't really have any concerns either way; I'm more at the point of seeing how this comes up naturally with them etc etc. You've been nothing but respectful re: making sure I'm ok OOCly, and so I know that whatever happens we'll be able to discuss it - probably much more easily than these ladies, that's for sure! You know where Rinoa stands now; once you work out where Parsee stands I'll probably have to do some thinking for her, too! Either way, our communication on it has been good, so I'm not worried at all.

And yeah, this should be interesting. We'll see what happens organically when Parsee's coughing up rose petals and trying to pretend that everything is fine. There's healthy odds when she finally says it, she'll just blurt it out in a moment of rashness, because this girl doesn't handle emotions well at all.
